Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 11-12-25

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home as part of Battalion 5; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area, as part of Battalion 2. Note: Shifts are in 24-hour time periods, from 5 a.m. to 5 a.m.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Nov. 4 through Monday, Nov. 10. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, NOV. 10

Battalion 2: Station 26 began to decorate for Christmas.

Crews completed weekly engine checks.

Battalion 5: Crews completed weekly apparatus and equipment checks.

Companies took advantage of the great weather to do some extra yard maintenance.

Crews completed mandatory online training.

Advisors from the MFD Explorer Post participated in youth protection training sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America.

 

SUNDAY, NOV. 9

Battalion 2: Crews spent most of the morning overhauling the Yosemite fire from the previous shift; it will continue to smolder for a few days.

Battalion 5: Crews completed daily apparatus and equipment checks.

Engine 27 covered the community of Waterford during the working fire on Yosemite.

Crews completed mandatory online training.

 

SATURDAY, NOV. 8

Battalion 2: 6:44 p.m. – Engine 26, Truck 5, and Battalion 5 responded to a solo vehicle accident on Squire Wells Way in Riverbank. A driver hit a parked car, then attempted to flee and crashed into a tree in the front yard of a house and rolled over. The driver was uninjured, and law enforcement was on scene for the investigation.

5:18 a.m. – Engine 23, Engine 21, Engine 24, Engine 3, Engine 9, Quint 22, BC2 and BC3 responded to Yosemite Boulevard at Roscoe Road for a working structure fire. First arriving Engine 23 established IC and offensive mode. With primary complete and extensive fire throughout the second floor of this vacant and unoccupied two-story house, crews transitioned to defensive operations to bring the fire under control.

Battalion 5: 12:01 p.m. – Engine 28. Engine 27, Quint 22, and Battalion 5 responded to a two-vehicle accident on Valley Home Road and 26-Mile Road in Oakdale. Crews arrived on scene to find two patients with minor injuries. There was a dog in one of the vehicles that was uninjured but shaken from the crash.

 

FRIDAY, NOV. 7

Battalion 2: Engine 26 and Fire Inspector Sansing attended a pub ed event in Riverbank.

Battalion 5: Engine 3, Engine 27 and Engine 28 assisted the Oakdale High School’s Fire Science class at OHS. Crews had the class participate in hands-on firefighting drills.

 

THURSDAY, NOV. 6

Battalion 2: Quint 22, Squad 32, and Truck 5 trained on large area search at Tower 17.

Battalion 5: Crews performed company level training in their respective FMA’s, completed mandated Target Solution assignments and conducted apparatus checks and station maintenance.

Engine 27, Water Tender 27, and OES 4617 conducted annual hose testing at the RFTC.

 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 5

Annual hose testing continues at the RFTC to ensure that all fire hose is tested.

Battalion 2: Crews completed their daily apparatus and equipment checks.

Personnel completed mandatory online training.

Battalion 5: Crews performed company level training in their respective FMA’s and completed mandated Target Solution assignments.

Crews conducted apparatus checks and station maintenance.

Engine 29 conducted weekly apparatus and station maintenance at Station 30 in Valley Home.

 

TUESDAY, NOV. 4

Battalion 5: Crews completed daily apparatus and equipment checks.

Battalion 5 attended the monthly command staff meeting.

Companies trained on hose pulls and ground ladder evolutions.

Engine 29 completed hose testing on their apparatus.

Engine 27, Engine 28, along with Fire Inspectors from the Community Risk Reduction Division did a pre fire walk through of a new cold storage warehouse facility in the City of Oakdale. Crews focused on the ammonia refrigerant and fire protection systems.

1:43 p.m. – Engine 28 to East A Street and Yosemite for a vehicle accident. Crews arrived on scene with two vehicles involved in the intersection. Firefighters assisted OVHD Medics with treating one patient for minor injuries.
