At the meeting of the Knights Ferry History and Museum Associates the gutter situation was discussed. New gutters will be installed in October by Byers Leaf Guard Gutters, ending the clogging and cleaning mess. Also discussed was the availability of the little room by the Ice Cream Parlor. The Voortmans will submit a plan to rent the space as an information center for Knights Ferry.

Gary and Barbara Shook have returned from visiting their daughter and family in Southern California and their son and his family in Minden, Nevada.

Bill Wearin was the recipient of the “Birthday Song” at the 50’s Roadhouse. He also got a pile of green beans (his favorite?) with a candle on top.

The sixth graders at Knights Ferry School will be going to Outdoor Education Camp for the week of September 29-October 3.

This is always a fun week for the students.

The Rainbow Girls would like to thank the community for the awesome turnout for their Pizza Night at Mountain Mike’s Pizza last Thursday.

Knights Ferry School held Student Council elections last Friday. President is Rilyn Cassaretto, Vice President is Jude Krick, Treasurer is Nicole Brunker and Secretary is Luke Dickens. Three out of the four had a parent that attended Knights Ferry School.

There was a large turnout for the memorial service for Matt Doshas. He will be missed!

October will be here before you know it so remember the Community Club meeting October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. and Breakfast Sunday on October 5th at the I.O.O.F. Hall.

The annual Knights Ferry School’s Jog-a-thon will be October 10th so if a student comes around, please make a pledge.
