Knights Ferry Community Club will meet tomorrow, Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the clubhouse. It is a dessert meeting. Speakers will be from Oakdale Rural Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department. Please plan to attend.

Gary and Sharon Page’s grandson, Sam Page, is quarterback for the Sonora Wildcats and helped win the game against Ripon with 11 minutes to go. Sonora’s coach said Sam fired everybody up to win. Sam rushed 117 yards and made 2 touchdowns. Way to go Sam!

At the MAC meeting there was not a lot of business. Member Brent Noon reported on the No Parking zones and the possibility of red paint on the curbing to eliminate some signs. No action on the trash issue in the Plaza as there needs to be someone who will put the trash receptacles out for pick up.

Remember that Sunday, October 5th is the Odd Fellows breakfast in the Ferry. Starting at 8:00 a.m., the Odd Fellows will serve ham, eggs, juice and coffee for only $5.00.

Knights Ferry School Board will meet (note change) on Tuesday, October 7th at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Knights Ferry Garden Club will be making Pumpkin Rolls October 20-23 with their meeting on October 22nd at noon in the clubhouse. Please bring your lunch. You do not have to be signed up to work that day but come to the meeting.

Booth space sign ups are being taken for the craft fair part of the Pumpkin roll on November 2nd. Call Gayle at 543-2614 if interested in a booth.

Knights Ferry Garden Club awarded River Journey a Certificate of Beautification for their office on Main Street.
