Residents from Orange Blossom Bridge to Knights Ferry are encouraged to attend a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Marsella property, 13480 Orange Blossom Road. It is a good time to get acquainted with your neighbor. The best defense is to know one another and report anything suspicious in the neighborhood.

Congratulations go out to Randy Russell and Amanda Wright on their engagement. He asked her to marry him at the Pumpkin Roll! Randy is the 7-8 grade teacher at Knights Ferry School and Amanda is a nurse at Doctor’s Hospital. Wedding plans are for next summer.

At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting the date of December 12 was decided for Movie Night, a pajama party for the children. Time and movie will be in later column. Also discussed was the Christmas Dinner on December 4th at 6:00 p.m. Dave Voortman announced that there is now Wi Fi connection at the Ice Cream parlor and Visitor’s Center!

There was a large turnout for the Salmon Festival at the Corp Park last Saturday. Knights Ferry School children that have their art published in the Salmon Calendar are: Maya Camara, Charlee Birdsong, Trexler Porter, Kyla Ryan and Carson Sundberg. Congratulations students!
