The movie night was well attended, with the smell of popcorn wafting over the group. The movie was “Up” and all enjoyed it, young and old. Dave and Heather Voortman’s set-up was perfect, good sight and sound. The weather was perfect for a night outside. They are working on what the next movie will be.

Students at Knights Ferry School that were honored for 3.0 to 3.49 Grade Point Average were: Olivia Doshas, Annabel Lee, Maribel Limon, Alex Arias, Braden Sousa, Anthony Neely, Marcada Baker, Nicole Brunker, Madison Willis, Hayden Sundberg, Lenin Palafox, Jazzlynn Velasquez, Dayne Sturtevant, and Aleesha Harden.

Rattlesnakes have been dispatched at the Davis and Griesner residences on the south side of the river.

At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting last Thursday the negotiations between teachers and the board were settled. The teachers have their full pay back and a full schedule of days (180). The new administrative assistant (replacing Bev Noe) is Arijaan Bulk and she was in attendance. There will be 3 para-professionals for the 5 classrooms. Back to School night will be August 29th at 5:30 in the cafeteria where Common Core will be discussed.
