The Knights Ferry Community Club will meet Thursday, September 6th at 7:00p.m. It is a dessert meeting.

Orange Blossom 4-H Reporter Emma Morales invites all Oakdale and Knights Ferry returning and new 4-H members to join together on September 10th for an Ice Cream Social at the Odd Fellows Hall in the Ferry.

It starts at 6:30p.m. The club will be starting project sign ups. There are over 20 to choose from. Children from Kindergarten to High School can be in 4-H.

There will be free flu shots for all Medicare Part B and Medicare part D cardholders at Miller’s Hall on September 11th from 10 to 2. Please bring your cards with you. Cash price for those not covered is $29.99.

The first full week of school found First and Second Graders enjoying the music program taught by Natalie Brockman.

Carson Sundberg and Levi Dickens really liked the music. Grace Harden likes lunchtime and John Loomis liked doing the heart map. They are off to a good start.

Knights Ferry Garden Club will meet Wednesday, September 12th at 10:00a.m. at the home of Ellen Wearin. They will be planning the making of pumpkin rolls.

Aubrey Mendonca celebrated her 6th birthday with a swim party at grandpa and grandma Noe’s home last Saturday. All enjoyed swimming, eating and swimming again!

There was a lovely graveside service for Hazel Robuck Harris on Sunday. Hazel was born on the family ranch on Sonora Road and she almost made it to her 100th birthday, passing a few days short. She went to Knights Ferry School and Oakdale High School. Her two children, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister Betty Irvine (who painted the backdrop at the Knights Ferry Church) survive her.

The KFS School board will meet September 13th at 6:00p.m. at the school. There will be a minimum day Sept. 5th for CPR training for the staff. KFS has an AM Club for Kindergarteners students who need to be dropped off at 8:00a.m. See Bev Noe at school for the information.
