At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting the Board had to lay off one teacher for the fall due to lack of money. If the November vote does not pass, KFS will take a $43,000 mid-year cut. The school is in declining enrollment, partly due to more moms working and the lack of day care in the area for those interdistrict students.

The Civil War is coming to the Ferry March 24th and 25th. The battles on Saturday are 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The camps are open before and after the battles to see how the soldiers lived. The Knights Ferry Community Club Spaghetti Dinner will be after the last battle on Saturday. It is $7.00 for an adult and $4.00 for child under 10. There will also be a raffle. The club will use the money generated for paint for the clubhouse and the old firehouse. Come spend the day in the Ferry!
