The Knights Ferry Community Club’s Christmas dinner was not as well attended as in past years. The entertainment was outstanding. The Oakdale High School Choir, under the direction of Bryan Mills, sang Christmas songs. Former Knights Ferry students, Carolyn and Madison Abbott, sang a duet as Carolyn accompanied them on the piano. It was lovely. There was an audience sing-a-long also. The decorations put all in a Christmas mood. A lot of goods were collected for Community Sharing.

The town is all decked out in lights this year, really sparkles. Take an evening drive and check them out.

The Knights Ferry School will hold their Winter Holiday Program at the clubhouse on December 17th at 6:30 p.m. The Kindergarteners through Fourth Graders will be performing, with poems by the Eighth Grade. Refreshments will be served after the program.

Michael and Maureen McKibban have returned from Wellesley, Massachusetts, where they visited with daughter, Katie and son-in-law Graeme. The young couple’s home is being renovated and workmen were there early to late. Michael and Maureen were put to work also. Michael got to see the impressive Wellesley Dump, where the townsfolk recycle everything, sorting glass by color, paper by weight, etc.

Sunday, the crowds in the Ferry were enjoying Christmas in Knights Ferry, with many craft booths, breakfast, street music, shops, and the second annual Parade through town. Rick Maisel’s “float” was terrific! The children enjoyed the candy tossed from the entries.
