The Odd Fellows pancake breakfast was on Sunday. The pancakes were hot and the conversations were aplenty! Fred Dolling reported serving about 180 hot breakfasts. Be sure to mark your calendar for the first Sunday in October.

River Elaine McCarthy has openings available for private beginner piano lessons on Main Street in Knights Ferry. River has 10 years of experience playing the piano and she is excited to share her talents with those who would like to learn. She has availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. The students must be able to read and know the left from the right. Contact Miss River Elaine McCarthy at 209-840-2307 for more details!

River is a lifetime Knights Ferry resident and she is a junior at Oakdale High School and she is the daughter of Sean and Kim McCarthy.

The Knights Ferry Museum was open recently and the docents enjoyed speaking with some fellow history enthusiasts! Be sure to stop by to visit them next month during the Odd Fellows pancake breakfast. The museum committee puts a lot of care into the preservation of Knights Ferry’s history. We are a very lucky town.

The Knights Ferry School has announced their Color Run fundraiser for October 8th! It will be held at the school on the field and they are raising money for a Spanish club and a music club that will include curriculum and instruments, a new art program, balls for all classrooms, ongoing farm expenses such as top soils and seeds for the garden. Check back next week for details of how you can support the Knights Ferry Bobcats!
