Skunks are out and about looking for a partner. For those that haven’t the recipe for de-skunking here it is: Mix 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/3 cup baking soda and 1 tablespoon liquid soap. Scrub and leave it on for a minute and wash off. On pets do it within four hours.

The Knights Ferry Community Church will be having Lenten Soup Suppers on the Wednesdays in Lent at 6 p.m. All are welcome to join in the meal and devotion.

Oak Summit Assembly #128, International Order of the Rainbow Girls, held their 10th installation of officers on February 10th at the Masonic Lodge in the Ferry. Madeline Freitas was installed as Worthy Advisor. Her Associate is Brandi Cardey. Other officers are: Charity-Hannah Larsen, Hope-Anni Pennell, Faith-Makena Mendonca, Chaplain-Breanna Morgan, Drill Leader-Paige Morgan, Religion-Kaitlin Halverson, Nature-Madison Pennell, Patriotism-Heaven Tucker and Confidential Observer-Mallory Baity. Mrs. Bonnie Witzke was installed as Mother Advisor. Have a great term!

The Sandhill Cranes are flying over on their way North. A great sound of spring!

Lisa and Fred Dolling, Carmen Frymire, Lee and Mary Sue Shearer and Richard Jensen enjoyed an “Almond Blossom Luncheon” at an almond orchard on Rodden Road Sunday afternoon, hosted by Arlene and John. The petals were coating the ground and drifting down like snow but not cold like snow!

March 3rd is the Community Club meeting and dinner, March 6th is Breakfast Sunday at the Odd Fellows Lodge, March 9th is Garden Club at Carol Davis’ home, March 12 KF school’s dinner and auction, March 19-20 Civil War, March 19th Spaghetti dinner and auction, March 27-Easter.
