Welcome to the world Eugene Gregory Burns, born February 3rd to Kevin and Sarah. He weighed in at 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 18 ½ inches long. Proud Knights Ferry grandparents are Wendy and Greg Burns.

Hanna Holland, daughter of Megan Peterson, granddaughter of Bill and Kay Martinelli, is again at Humboldt State playing softball. She is on the NFCA/Schutt Sports Division 11 National Player of the Year watch list.

At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting the new officers for the year were elected. President is Chris Peterson, Vice-President is Jason Sweet, Secretary is Heather Voortman and Treasurer is Lisa Dolling. Linda Morris replaced Phil Frymire as Trustee. There was much discussion on the Spaghetti Dinner for March 19th. Raffle items are needed. Lisa Dolling is collecting them. There are plans to remodel the men’s bathroom sometime this summer.

Knights Ferry School board will meet Thursday, February 11th at 5:30 in the cafeteria. It is open to any interested persons.

The school will be closed for mid-winter break from February 15 to 19th.
