Knights Ferry News 8-30-23

The Army Corps has a smashed penny machine! There are a few options to choose from including the Covered Bridge, the “Welcome to Historic Knights Ferry” sign, and “Stanislaus River Parks” with a kayaking silhouette. I know there are lots of collectors out there, be sure to tell them to stop by the Army Corps of Engineers building during business hours to pick out their Knights Ferry keepsake!

Summers in Knights Ferry are very busy but Main Street will be busy for the next few months as well, as we move into fall! Mark your calendars: September 30th is the Community Club’s Centennial Celebration; Sheatherfest begins on October 27th, and the Pumpkin Roll is November 5th.

Knights Ferry School has a few new staff members: Mrs. Dixon as a long-term substitute fifth grade teacher, Kaitlin Burke as a 1:1 aide, Rhonda McDonald and Roger Aguayo heading the Art Program, and Yvette Varios as the Mental Health Clinician. I remember Kaitlin Burke when she was a student at Knights Ferry. It is great to see past students return to the school as adults. Welcome to Knights Ferry School to all!
