Knights Ferry News
Knights Ferry

Halloween is close so here are some treats: October 30th the school children from Knights Ferry School and preschoolers will parade down Main Street at noon. The street will be lined up with candy deliverers! It is always fun to see the costumes and the children get enough candy they don’t have to go at night. That evening is free movie night at the clubhouse. Showtime is 6:45 with the doors opening at 5:30. The movie is “Hotel Transylvania.” Come in costume and bring blankets, beanbags, and chairs etc. to be comfy. You could bring candy to share and the club will be selling popcorn and water.

Your reporter hasn’t heard of any costume parties but I am out of the loop.

At the MAC meeting last Thursday the fact that the trail up river was trashy and full of graffiti on the rocks was brought up. There is dog poop, dirty diapers, trash of all kinds and even in the water cans are swirling in the pools. This is Army Corp property so maybe they can take care of the mess. Also the Sheriff’s Department is not charging for our outside event, the Pumpkin Roll. Seems they charge by how many people attend outside events and charge a fee but if the MAC ok’s it, no fee. The MAC will not have meetings in November and December because of the holidays.
