Guest speaker, Buck Condit spoke at the Community Club meeting about his role as District 1 Supervisor. Knights Ferry is a part of District 1 and Condit works with other District supervisors to oversee Stanislaus County’s budget and aids with land zoning and other public safety entities. He was very approachable and welcomed those in attendance to ask questions and provided his contact information for future questions and concerns. Some concerns included Knights Ferry’s access to affordable and reliable internet and parking and traffic safety. In other news, the Community Club reported they made $11,000 at the Car Show and $1500 at the spaghetti dinner. Chris Peterson said the Car Show’s raffle was a big help to the success of the car show and personally thanked Shelli Borba for all the hard work she put into the raffle.

Last week, the Parent Teacher Club was busy celebrating the staff members at Knights Ferry School! Last week the staff was treated a little extra special for the whole week. On Monday, their doors were decorated and they were treated to Panera Bread lunch and a gift bag full of gift cards and goodies donated by parents from each class. On Tuesday, they had a snack cart filled with candy, snacks, and drinks and on Wednesday, the staff had access to the snack cart and Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. On Thursday, they started off the morning with Starbucks coffee and a yogurt parfait breakfast bar followed by sandwiches and fruit and veggies trays from Save Mart on Friday. What a great week of appreciating the staff members at school!
