The January Community Club meeting, normally held on the first Thursday of the month, has been canceled since it falls on New Year’s Day. The club will meet next on February 5 at 6:30 p.m.

“Do you remember December 24, 1955 – that was the last big flood in Knights Ferry. The historic bridge was closed, there was a rushing river across Sonora Road. The campground area was flooded. A couple of houses washed away, the Knights Ferry General Store had water up to the counter, there was a piano floating in the Club House. Aren’t we thankful for the Tulloch Dam and New Melones Dam? Always count your blessings.”
