There will be an emergency meeting of the Parent/Faculty Club at the school July 21 at 9 a.m. All parents are invited to attend and hear what is happening. The school wants to hire a 2 hour reading teacher.

The Van Ryn family has returned from a week’s vacation in San Diego. They celebrated Patti’s parent’s 50th wedding anniversary with over 100 friends and family at Seaport Village. They also celebrated Nathan’s graduation from the University of the Pacific. Nathan graduated with honors and has been hired by UOP Biology department to continue his research project. Nathan will also be getting his Masters before applying to Dental School. Way to go Nathan.

Alisen Payette (former Knights Ferry School student) and her husband Caleb and sons Huxley and Roland were out from Missouri visiting family. The boys attended Camp Jack Hazard like their mom did when she was a child. They enjoyed visiting with Aunt Ellen and Uncle Bill Wearin and cousin Amanda Stepp. They took a trip to Santa Cruz and Kennedy Meadows and visited friends in the area. Ali is teaching 5th and 6th grades and thanks all Knights Ferry teachers for being a good example.

River Journey and friends cleaned the Stanislaus River. Kay Martinelli took part in the cleanup and it was her first time rafting the river. Granddaughter Kaeli Sweet was her guide.

The Knights Ferry General Store has art and music each weekend. Check out their produce - fresh! It is sure nice it is open again.

Maureen McKibban and Barbara Shook have celebrated their July birthdays at the 50’s Roadhouse.
