The weekend was pleasant in town. The Classic Car Show was held on Main Street with about 75 vehicles on display. It was enjoyable to walk down Main Street admiring the cars and trucks, enjoying the fall weather and live music. It was free admittance to the car show but the Club had raffle tickets for sale and the River’s Edge, the Creamery, the General Store, the 50s Roadhouse, and the Odd Fellows had food and drinks for sale. The car show committee gave awards including Best Truck, Favorite Chevy, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best 4x4, Most Unique, Favorite Fords, Best 50s Nostalgia, and Best Paint Job. It takes an entire crew of volunteers to put on the car show but Miles Shuper and Chris Peterson did a great job heading up the volunteers. Community Club President Chris Peterson gives a Presidential Award to a volunteer who did an exceptional job at the Car Show and this year, he presented the award to Jason Sweet. Jason has headed up traffic control since the very first car show. Thank you to each and every one of the volunteers, the car show would not be possible without you.
