Benny Cassinetto’s graveside service and celebration of life was last Wednesday. The River’s Edge restaurant was packed inside and outside with Benny’s friends and family. Benny loved a good party and the restaurant was full of people sharing stories and memories with Benny.

Knights Ferry School held their Color Run fundraiser last Friday! The final awards were presented to the boy and girl who ran the most laps in the whole school: John Merritt and Alison Blanc. John Merritt ran 64 laps and Alison Blanc ran 53 laps. After closing ceremonies, the students were served pizza and popsicles. The popsicles were donated and delivered by the local Masonic Lodge. One of the incentives for the kids to raise money was an opportunity to slime their teachers! The teachers were good sports as they sat in chairs while the kids took turns dumping slime on their heads.

Join the Knights Ferry Art Studio, the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, and the Knights Ferry Historical Society on October 22nd at 1pm at the Miller’s Hall for the Knights Ferry Art Studio grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Randy Mandy & the Frequency Experience is hosting an open mic inviting poetry and dance performances to join in as well.
