Knights Ferry News 04-05-23

Main Street was decorated with a wide variety of cars and trucks for the Knights Ferry Classic Car Show! The cars and trucks began lining the roadway well before 6am and stayed until just after 2pm. The weather was perfect for strolling down Main Street listening to Barbie and the Deplorables and snacking on a Lockeford sausage from the Masonic Lodge. The local businesses were busy serving the crowds and the Car Show contestants were busy sharing their car or truck’s story. The Car Show judges awarded contestants with awards such as “Favorite Ford” or “Best Paint Job” and the Club President, Chris Peterson, awarded his “Presidential Award” to Shelli Borba, Dara Patton, and Michelle Burke for their hard work and dedication to the raffle. Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers from in town and out of town who helped to put on a great Car Show!

The Knights Ferry Art Studio and Gallery opened their doors for the Car Show. They recently moved into the space in the Miller’s Hall building. The walls showcase some beautiful and creative works of art and some of the artists are locals! They will host a variety of activities in the upcoming months including a soft opening on April 30 from 11am-2pm during the Peddler’s Faire that will have music, art, and complimentary food and drinks. On April 9 and 23, they are hosting Dungeons and Dragons and on May 6 and 7, there will be a two-day class to learn to make a mosaic bird feeder or teacup wall hanging using tile, glass, plates, and dishes. Drop by the studio for more information.
