HOMECOMING TRADITION
Window HC

A favorite football Homecoming tradition continued as students from freshmen to seniors were out early Saturday morning, Sept. 11 to paint the downtown windows according to a preselected theme to celebrate Homecoming Week. Also, the ever-popular Mini Mustang event kicked off Friday night, Sept. 10 as 172 little girls took to the sidelines along with their ‘big sister’ OHS cheerleader to cheer at the Junior Varsity and Varsity games. The Mini Mustang event is the Oakdale Cheer Boosters biggest fundraiser of the year, which enables the program to pay for an assortment of things for the cheer program. The Mini Mustangs ranged from TK to sixth grade students. The fun continues the week with Powder Puff, the downtown Homecoming parade at 1:45 p.m. Friday afternoon, Sept. 17 and then football games and crowning of Homecoming Royalty at The Corral.
