HALLOWEEN HIJINKS

The Minions (aka OHS Marching Band) led the way Monday night, Oct. 31 as goblins and ghouls made their way down G Street in the annual Oakdale Halloween Parade. A huge crowd turned out to enjoy Halloween festivities, hosted by the City of Oakdale on Monday, Oct. 31. Along with the parade along G Street, there were plenty of games for costumed participants to enjoy. Food, a chance to have a Halloween photo take, and lots of candy were the order of the day. Organizers planned the event for the late afternoon, which allowed time for attendees to also go out for traditional trick-or-treating after the conclusion of the downtown party. The parade ended at the Bianchi Community Center, with activities inside as well as outside in the plaza.

Toss
One of many games inside the community center was the football throwing game where you took your turn tossing a football into the circle for the other “player” to catch it. Sarah Lawson/The Leader
