The Oakdale Mustangs took to the football field at The Corral on Friday night, March 19 to host the Escalon Cougars. Here, Nico Villegas, 17, one of this year’s captains, carries the flag on to the field prior to the varsity kickoff. Oakdale won the JV game, 40-0 and the varsity escaped with a 38-35 decision over Escalon in the first of a five-game season.
