The City of Oakdale has announced that a public ribbon cutting event will be held to officially re-open the Oakdale Children’s Play Park located in Dorada Park on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. The event will celebrate the efforts of community volunteers who helped remodel the play park over five days from Oct 14 to Oct. 18. The Oakdale Children’s Play Park, on the southeast corner of A Street and Second Avenue, was originally constructed in October 1993. The recent park rehabilitation project was funded by donations from local businesses and community members and constructed by hundreds of volunteers.
