The Gold Star Referral Club will host its weekly lunch meeting from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8 in Oakdale, gathering at the Huckleberry’s restaurant private room.

This week’s featured presenter is Shelley Davidson Cummings, director of the Oakdale Business Trust and paint and coatings representative with Dunn Edwards Paints in Turlock. Cummings, known locally as Oakdale’s “Queen of Sheen,” will discuss selecting the right paints, coatings and finishes for various projects.

The referral-based networking group allows only one professional per industry category, fostering “genuine connections, no competition and real opportunities for collaboration,” organizers said.
