First meeting of year scheduled by quilters

The Oakdale Quilters Guild is a non-profit group organized for charitable and educational purposes. They make quilts and other handmade items for the Care Center, Guardian House, Quilts of Honor, Cancer Center, and others. The guild meets on the second Thursday of the month for a business meeting, short presentation/program, and show and tell.

The first meeting of 2024 will be hosted on Thursday, Jan. 11. The meetings are held at the Community United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar St., Oakdale. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Guests 18 and over are welcome to attend. If you are a quilter or interested in learning how to make quilts to become a quilter, you are encouraged to attend.
