Oakdale Junior High students Jessica Birchall and Cooper Herrington represented Oakdale Joint Unified School District well during the 2017-2018 Junior High Spelling Championship hosted earlier this month. Seventh grader Jessica was named among a Gold Medal recipient, while eighth grader Cooper came home with a Silver Medal. Retired educator Harry Bakker served as the Spelling Master and 23 volunteers served as proctors.
