Oakdale Police arrested one adult and three juveniles for burglary after a homeowner came home and discovered his home had just been burglarized and the suspects had just left.

Oakdale Police spokesperson Janeen Yates said that on Wednesday, Dec. 21 around 12:45 p.m., the resident of a home in the 1200 block of River Bluff Drive arrived home and heard noises coming from the back portion of the house. He then discovered the living room area had been ransacked and called police.

After officers responded they spoke with a neighbor who saw a teenaged male jump a fence.

Officers searched the area and found Austin Windle, 19, of Oakdale, hiding in a nearby yard. Yates said officers also located a juvenile associated with the crime at Burchell Park.

“After speaking with the individual, they identified and located a third (suspect) at his residence,” Yates said. “Further investigation revealed a fourth subject and they were also arrested.”

Windle was booked at Stanislaus County Jail for burglary, conspiracy, and grand theft.

Yates said the three other suspects arrested were juveniles, ages 15, 16, and 17 years old. The three were booked into juvenile hall on burglary and theft charges.
