After proving to be a very popular event last year, organizers of the Once Upon A Tomb – Tales From Beyond fundraiser for the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery are doing it again.

Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 at the cemetery at 701 E. J St., Oakdale, walking tours will start at dusk and there will be seven different time options to take part. Each tour will feature a guide and stop at the gravesites of several notable Oakdale residents, contributors to the city’s history.

This year’s cast includes Colleen Hawks-Pierce as Gladys Clark, Ray Leverett as Thomas Roberts, Marg Jackson as Tomasa Griffith, Jacob Boss as Jackson Burns, Derick Sturke as A.J. Patterson, Rudy Skultety as Frances Marion Cottle and Jozie Velasco as Annie Cottle.

Tickets are $25 each plus an online processing fee and can be purchased at Eventbrite.com

The walking tours begin at 6 p.m., and are scheduled on the half hour, continuing at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
