The official groundbreaking for the Julia Haidlen Memorial Ice Skating Rink took place this past week. Wielding the shovels are, from left, Oakdale Chamber CEO Cher Bairos, Gretchen Haidlen-Arbini, Erich and Kelly Haidlen, City of Oakdale Public Services Director Jeff Gravel and Small Town Christmas Chair, Ami Poncabare. The rink is scheduled to open Dec. 3, 2025.
