It was a carnival-themed celebration for the one-year anniversary of Story Books and Toys at 150 S. Second Ave., Oakdale, on Saturday, March 7. Along with those handling the various stations such as face painting, interactive games for kids, and creating balloon animals, hot dogs were provided by Smokin’ Oakie and special events were featured throughout the day. Business owner Lauren Dutch thanked those in the community for their support and encouragement throughout the year and said she is looking forward to many more years of great books and fun events for the whole family.
