From the scores of competitors playing their hearts out during the cornhole tournament to the joy and giggles of seeing Matt Heyn, CEO from OVHD or Oakdale City Council Member Kayleigh Gilbert splash down into the dunk tank, the All American Bash definitely featured fun festivities. The event was hosted at the local Dying Breed Brewing in Oakdale on Saturday, June 28.
“Everybody coming out to enjoy the day, having fun and supporting the Oakdale Enrichment Society is what it is all about,” said Mayor Cher Bairos as she greeted attendees as they arrived.
There was also a pie eating contest filled with pies from Bloomingcamp Ranch as well as raffle prizes as far as the eye could see.
Dying Breed provided cool beverages and warm savory bites to the crowd, with one of the owners, Josh Malcolm, even volunteering to take a turn in the dunk tank. As the evening cooled off, the stage came to life with local Owen Walker strumming some sweet tunes before headliner Kristen Brown came out to share her love of the Cowboy Capital of the World while singing some of her hits.
The All American Bash once again brought a lot of smiles and support to the Oakdale Enrichment Society while also celebrating those time-honored American traditions of pie eating contests, dunk tanks and of course, cornhole.
