Annual Ag Day fun, festivities for Fair Oaks students
FO ag 1

Close to 30 presenters were on hand at Fair Oaks Elementary School on Friday, March 22 as the school presented its annual Ag Day. From a Rodeo Princess to a farrier, equipment displays including tractors, to an up close look at livestock and a lesson about gardening, the students were treated to information as well as provided with several hands on activities from a variety of people that make up the ag community. A favorite was the chance to try some roping, a popular stop for the students in the Cowboy Capital.

Among the other opportunities for students, they had some questions for presenter Kristi Novotny as she shared fun facts on raising chickens and the young Falcons also enjoyed the “feeding” time experience, as the Estrada family shared some of their goats during the Ag Day program.
