Reed Lawrence Welch and Heather Louise Gilbert have announced their plans to wed.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rob and Jan Gilbert of Oakdale, and the granddaughter of Bob and Beverly Gilbert of Oakdale, and Jim and Jean Peirano of La Habra. Her siblings include Elizabeth and Erik Cotton, and Shannon and Steve Hayes. She also has a nephew, Wyatt Hayes and a niece, Cecilia Cotton.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Debra Dickerson of Woodland Hills and Joseph Welch of La Grange, and the grandson of Barbara Hall and Evelyn Welch of Oakdale. His siblings include Rodney Welch of La Grange, Rachel Welch of San Diego, and Alyssa and Alyvia of Woodland Hills.
The couple became engaged at the bride-to-be’s father and grandfather’s birthday party, and made the announcement once again at a party at friends, Lance and Debbie Harvey’s ranch.
The bride-to-be attended elementary schools in Oakdale. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2001, and from Hawaii Pacific University in 2005.
The prospective bridegroom also attended elementary schools in Oakdale, and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1996.
