Cruz, Silvia Plan 2013 Wedding
eng
Dennis Cruz and Lindsay Silvia

If you ever wonder if romance is still alive, you need to meet Dennis Cruz from Patterson. On Good Friday when his girlfriend, Lindsay Silvia of Oakdale, opened the front door to go outside, there stood a horse drawn carriage, with Dennis waiting for her. After telling her how much she meant to him, he got down on one knee and proposed. With all of her family, and even some neighbors looking on, happily Lindsay said yes. They then took the horse-drawn carriage for a ride along Highway 108 to a restaurant for a romantic dinner.

The couple met on MySpace three years ago, and they have been good friends ever since.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Louis and Lynda Silvia of Oakdale, and the sister of Libby Jablonski, also of Oakdale.

She graduated from Kennedy High School in Fremont California, and attended Modesto Junior College, where she studied early childhood development. She is currently running a daycare with her mother and sister.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Al and Ginger Cruz of Patterson, and the brother of Walter, Tony, David and Shawn Cruz. He graduated from Del Puerto High School in Patterson and is currently finishing his college classes on line, with Ashford University, in Tennessee.

The two will be having an engagement party in July 2012, and are planning to get married locally in June 2013.
