A girl, Sadie Mae Sherwood, was born March 8, 2011 to expectant parents Robert and Shannon Sherwood of Oakdale. The newborn weighed six pounds, 14 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

The mother is the former Shannon Glass.

Welcoming the newcomer home were older siblings Donovan, Taylor and Madison.

Daniel and Linda Voller of Auburn are the maternal grandparents.

Gary Sherwood of Ripon is the paternal grandfather.
