The Lady Mustang golfers continue to have a strong season, as they captured first place at the VOL Tournament #1 this past week.

Oakdale carded the team low score of 418. They were followed by East Union 440, Kimball 511, Manteca 534, Sierra 594 and Weston Ranch 715.

Leaders for the Oakdale squad were Kaylie Parola 81, Andrea York 82, Makayla Christiansen 83, Madison Blanc 85, Allie Denning 87 and Tori Blanc 90.

“That puts us ahead in the league standings; we are 2-0 in nine-hole matches and then have earned first place points in the first tournament of the season,” said coach Jeremy Fields. “We are 4-0 in non-league matches.”

The girls wrapped up the week as they played Pleasant Grove in a non-league nine- hole match Thursday at  the par 36 Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

Final score was Oakdale 214, Pleasant Grove 238.

Shealyn Hanrahan paced the girls with a 39, followed by Andrea York, Allie Denning and Makayla Christiansen carding 43s, Kaylie Parola at 45 and Anna Holmes at 57.
