Oakdale varsity volleyball players in the back row get ready to receive the serve on Saturday morning, Aug. 12 as they faced off with the host Escalon Lady Cougars in a four-way scrimmage. Known as the GEBO, Golden Valley, Escalon, Beyer, Oakdale, event, the Lady Mustangs had all three levels on hand for the day of volleyball in nearby Escalon. The Oakdale teams will host El Capitan on Friday, Aug. 18 in preseason play with the freshmen opening up the trio of contests at 4:30 p.m., followed by the JV at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity at 6:30 p.m.
