Oakdale’s Jace Rau, top photo, gets some air as he sends the ball back over the net in recent varsity boys volleyball action. Oakdale got its first Valley Oak League win, on the road at Central Catholic, on Monday, March 27. The Mustangs took the match in three straight, sweeping the Raiders 25-7, 25-13, 25-13. At side, Griffin Paulus sets the ball for a teammate. They also were winners at home Friday, March 24 against Delta Charter in non-league play, winning 25-15, 25-17, 25-9. The JV boys, meanwhile, were 2-0 winners on March 25 in non-league play against Ben Holt College Prep Academy of Stockton. This is the first year for boys volleyball in Oakdale.
