Gators Trail Tritons, Seadogs In Home Meet

The Oakdale Gator Swim Team put out a tremendous effort against the visiting Tracy Tritons and Hughson Seadogs but in the end, the Gators came in third at the first home meet of the season. In spite of this, the following swimmers took home the most points in their age group: 9-10 girl, Emily Bennett with 21 out of 21 points; 9-10 boy, Brad Smith with 19 out of 21 points; and the 11-12 girls swept the top three with Summer Thompson 19 out of 21 points; Shelby Stender with 18 out of 21 points; and Jaci Warwick and Bianca Varela tied for third with 14 points out of 21; 13-14 girl, Jill Kahler with 21 points out of 21.

The following swimmers improved their times: 7-8 girl, Kylee Clinton improved her 25 free by 8.86 seconds; 7-8 boy, Joseph Gutierrez improved his 25 free time by 18.71 seconds; 9-10 boy, Ethan Pollack improved his 50 free by a whopping 36.55 seconds; 13-14 girl, Cassie Lee improved her 100 IM by 9.70 seconds; 17-18 boy, Jared Amor improved his 100 free by 3.97 seconds.

This weekend, the Oakdale Gators will host again with the Oakdale Invitational scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at Dorada Park.
