Three games, three victories for the Oakdale youth football program.
The Stampede headed south to Livingston on Saturday, Oct. 24 to take on the Wolves. Christopher Thomas got the Peewee team on the right track. The young man ran for a pair of touchdowns in the team’s 18-6 victory. The junior varsity team bounced back after last week’s loss to Turlock. Five first half touchdowns by Zeke Saffer helped secure the Stampede a 38-0 shutout victory. Oakdale’s varsity team capped off the perfect afternoon with a 55-21 rout over the Wolves. Peyton Bradford and Minaya Olivo led the charge on the ground, and Steven Morris tossed a touchdown pass to Michael Echavarria. With the road victory, Stampede will host a playoff game at The Corral on Saturday, Nov. 7. Oakdale’s regular season finale will be held at The Corral on Halloween against the visiting Modesto Broncos. Rookies kickoff at 1 p.m., peewee 3 p.m., junior varsity 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
