In a recent ceremony, the 2015 Oakdale High School Water Polo teams were honored. Both varsity teams enjoyed postseason success as the boys won a first round playoff game 10-8 over Bear River. Oakdale also handed out the Mustang Award to Sam Cole.
Awards were also presented to the varsity girls. Oakdale’s Lady Mustangs captured their third consecutive Sac-Joaquin Section title in 2015, and their sixth consecutive Valley Oak League title. Taking home hardware was Most Valuable Player, senior goalkeeper Caitlin Golding. The future UC Davis Aggie was a force to be reckoned with during the season as well as the postseason as the senior gave up only 12 goals in three playoff games.
