This past weekend the Oakdale Stampede hosted the CenCal Youth Football Round Robin scrimmage. Local teams from the league came to the new field inside The Corral at Oakdale High School. Players at all levels suited up and played one another in the scrimmage action, which lasted throughout the day on Saturday, Aug. 19.

The Stampede opens play this weekend on the road against the Manteca Buffaloes. Rookies take the field at 9 a.m., followed by the Peewee game scheduled for 11 a.m.

Junior Varsity action is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. and the defending Super Bowl champion Varsity Stampede team kickoff is at 3 p.m.

The games will be played at Manteca High School, 450 E. Yosemite Ave. in Manteca. Week three is Oakdale’s home opener against the Pride. That game will be held inside the Corral on Saturday, Sept. 9.
