PREVIEW
OHS Mustangs

Homecoming Week is here and tonight it kicks off with the Powder Puff game at 7 p.m. between the juniors and seniors. Last year’s game got away from the referee crew and ended in a “tie.” This year the two teams will take the field inside The Corral, and the evening will also feature the King and Prince coronation.

On Friday night Oakdale (5-1, 3-0) welcomes in Sierra (2-4, 1-2) for Homecoming 2017. This past week Oakdale showed that they were more than just a ground game team, as they passed for nearly 200 yards in a 36-15 home win over Manteca. The defending state champion Mustangs have been impressive on both sides of the ball thus far in league play and are hosting a struggling Sierra squad.

Sierra has lost two straight Valley Oak League games since winning their opener 28-7 over Kimball. Sierra has been outscored 76-55 in the first three Valley Oak League games and are coming off a heartbreaking 21-20 home loss to Lathrop.

Kickoff for the Homecoming showdown is set for 7 p.m.
