The Oakdale High School boys golf team suffered its first Valley Oak League loss on Wednesday, March 29 at the hands of Central Catholic. Oakdale fell to the Raiders 205-232. Zachary Tamburrino shot a team low 41 for Oakdale, while normal team leaders David Myrtakis shot 46 and Calvin Reed was right behind him at 47. Rounding out the day for the boys on the road were Josh Barrera and Tristan Jaramillo at 49 and Max Moore at 52. Earlier in the season, Oakdale defeated Central Catholic, handing the Raiders their first loss since joining the Valley Oak League in 2014.

On Thursday, Oakdale hit the links in Manteca to take on Sierra. Oakdale regrouped and walked away victorious 206-281. Tamburrino continued his big week as he tied for a team low 40 along with Calvin Reed. Max Moore was one stroke behind them at 41, and David Myrtakis shot 42. Rounding out the day for Oakdale were Josh Barrera (43) and Tristan Jaramillo (45).

Oakdale is now 9-1 through their first 10 league matches and are in the midst of a six match road trip. This week the Mustangs take on Weston Ranch today, Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6 they will take on Manteca. Tuesday, April 11 they finish the road trip at East Union. All tee times are set for 3 p.m.
