The Oakdale girls golf team is now 4-0 on the season and are cruising through the first half of the 2017 year. Oakdale played a trio of Valley Oak League matches this past week and won all three.

On Tuesday, Sept. 5 Oakdale defeated Central Catholic at Dryden Golf Course 205-289. Taylor Stewart shot a minus two on the day as she posted a 35 score on the par 37 course. Andrea York turned in a score card of 41. Makayla Christiansen shot 42, Madi Blanc 43 and Allie Denning finished at 44. Thursday afternoon Oakdale returned home to take on Lathrop at Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Stewart shot one under par to help lead Oakdale to victory over the shorthanded Spartans, who only sent four golfers to the match. Lathrop did not qualify for a score due to the lack of participants.

The busy week came to a close on Friday afternoon when Oakdale bested Manteca 209-280. Stewart, Blanc and York each shot a 40 on the day. Christiansen (43) and Denning (46) wrapped up the team scorecard.

Oakdale Golf and Country Club is closed this week but that likely won’t stop the momentum of this team. On Thursday afternoon Oakdale takes on Weston Ranch on the road.
