The future appears bright for OHS girls’ basketball, as the 2014-2015 junior varsity girls wrapped up the season undefeated with a perfect 14-0 Valley Oak League record. Led by second year head coach Julie Ford, the team bought into her coaching philosophy and put it to work on the court, showing up every day and practicing and playing hard and playing for each other. In the 14 league games, Oakdale outscored their opponents 666-447, an average of nearly a 32-point margin of victory over the course of the season. This impressive run began when the girls knocked off Sierra 43-22 in front of the Oakdale faithful, and ended this past week when the girls defeated Manteca 43-23 in Manteca.

The team consisted of Emily Turner, Lynda Stetson, Stephanie Lee, Camryn Salas, Maddy Brewer, Emma Bevan, Kate Mendes, Alejandra Vargas, Emily Bennett, Kristen Murphy, Lexi Sibley, Macy Robinson, Lily Ibarra and Melissa Garcia.
