Six Valley Oak League contests so far this season have resulted in six wins for the Oakdale High School girls golf team.
In the team’s pair of road contests this past week, Oakdale defeated Sierra, 211-331 and then went on to a 218-356 victory over Weston Ranch.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12 coaches Jeremy Fields and Lee McGee took the girls to Manteca Park to face Sierra in nine holes of action. Andrea York led the way for Oakdale as she shot a day low 39. Makayla Christiansen finished two strokes behind her at 41. Taylor Stewart (42), Madi Blanc (43) and Shealyn Hanrahan (46) capped off the day for Oakdale.
Thursday afternoon the team traveled to Stockton’s Van Buskirk golf course for the competition against Weston Ranch. Stewart set the tempo for Oakdale shooting a day low 37. Blanc (40), York (46), Hanrahan (47) and Allie Denning (48) completed the nine hole day for Oakdale.
This week the Oakdale Golf and Country Club will be closed and Oakdale will continue league play on Tuesday, Sept. 26 when they take on East Union on the road and return home against Central Catholic on Thursday, Sept. 28.
