A terrific fifth game awarded Oakdale High’s varsity volleyball team perhaps the biggest win of the fall season for any OHS team when they toppled previously unbeaten Sonora on Oct. 3. The 3-2 win is a near lock for at least co-Valley Oak League championship honors, as Oakdale has defeated every other conference opponent by a 3-0 shutout.

The Lady Mustang volleyball team members earn collective Athlete of the Week recognition from The Leader for their efforts. Their rematch in Sonora on Oct. 29 will likely decide if Oakdale can collect sole championship status.
