Oakdale High ace Brennon Williams has been spectacular on the Valley Oak League baseball mound in his last two starts for the varsity Mustangs. On April 13 he went five innings with nine strikeouts and only two hits allowed in a 12-1 blowout of Sierra. A week later he struck out six in seven full innings with just two walks and four hits allowed in a 6-0 shutout over former VOL leader, Manteca. He was also 2 for 3 with a triple and five RBIs, scoring or knocking in each Oakdale tally in the victory over the Buffaloes.

Williams earns Athlete of the Week recognition from The Leader for the two fantastic performances. He has exploded onto the league scene with some amazing efforts this year.
