Following a first round bye on Friday, Nov. 8, the Oakdale Mustangs football team will be back in action under the lights on Nov. 15.

The varsity squad, coming in as the No. 2 seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV playoffs, will host the No. 7 seed Patterson Tigers.

Patterson hosted No. 10 Del Campo in the opening round and defeated the visitors 37-28.

Also in the bracket, No. 6 Merced defeated No. 11 Beyer by a 20-6 final on Nov. 8, which puts Merced on the road this week to face No. 3 Casa Roble.

Kickoff for the Oakdale-Patterson game will be 7 p.m. on Friday night.

Winners of the second round games go on to clash on Friday night, Nov. 22 in the semifinals. If Oakdale takes down the Tigers, they would host again, welcoming in the winner of the Casa Roble-Merced match up.

On the other side of the D-IV bracket, No. 1 Rio Linda hosts No. 8 Vanden and No. 4 Sierra welcomes No. 5 Atwater, both those games also with a 7 p.m. start time on Friday night.
